Sam Macklem, President
Sam (Carolyn) Macklem, CFRE, President of the Macklem Group, provides over 30 years of experience in working with nonprofits. Sam understands all aspects of a nonprofit organization—in roles of staff, Board Director and consultant. She has worn the hats of Director/VP of Development, Associate Executive Director, Board Director and officer of several nonprofits, and consultant for the past 11 years. She brings those experiences and viewpoints to her work with nonprofits. During her consulting tenure, she has worked with more than 100 nonprofits.
In addition to being a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Sam is certified in conducting diagnostic clinics/organizational assessments and brings her special knowledge in nonprofit management, Board expertise, fundraising, and planning processes. She has a Master’s Degree in Communication and a Professional Certificate in Training from UW-Milwaukee. She is a past president for the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Milwaukee and a 1999 winner of the Scott Cutlip Outstanding Fundraiser Award.
